TREES...beautiful trees...

We spent two nights camped at Fountainbleau State Park north of New Orleans. It's a nice park, as far as parks go. But we absolutely loved the trees.

I thought this grouping...falling over dead one with great roots...lots of moss hanging from the others...would make a very nice portrait picture of me. But after dis-"cussing" how it should be shot...this is what I got...LOL.

This is my very favorite tree. I don't know if it's still alive...hard to tell. But it was glowing in the light from the setting sun. And it's wider than tall...actually fills the photo.

This is Norman's favorite, and he bugged me to take the shot for two days...lol. The part he likes the best? Take a look at those knarly roots!

NORMAN!!! THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE WATER!!!!
(btw...look really close and you'll see trees in the distance...lol)

Pretty sunset overlooking Lake Pontchartrain.
