The Rally...part deux

Hot...too hot for a web-footed gal, but I'm dealing. We spent most of Friday afternoon in the RV with me cooling off. I just couldn't keep going...hot, sweaty, underwear nasty wet...YUK!

But that night we enjoyed ol' Bill Cosby's humor...hmmm, could say 'old'...he is as old as us. I especially enjoyed his take on 'dementia'. It's not a problem of the old folks. How many times have you sent your child to his/her room for something, and have them return without that item a half hour later. And that child responds with, "I forgot"...Or our grown children promise to return a phone call and don't for a few days. And that grown child responds with, "I forgot"...hee-hee...

I found two other folks with '1819' at the Cosby show. We met up the next morning in the tent and claimed our free t-shirts. That got us into a Camping World drawing, where trips...RVs...generators...gas cards...etc were given away. Sadly, none of us won...

I claimed a couple chairs in the shade for the big drawing and listened to the Prescott Playboys...cowboy music...They were fun to listen to, and I enjoyed the shade.

This is just a quick view looking towards the big tent with all the main vendors taken from my seat in the shade.
We met up for lunch yesterday with a California couple, who were our neighbors at the Redmond Rally. Had fun just chatting about this n that and getting to know each other better. I think we may see them again at the next rally in the West.

Last night's entertainment...the major one...was Martina McBride. We arrived in the stands almost an hour and a half early to get good seats. But, ya know, we just aren't into her singing...don't recognize her songs...although we know her name. So after four or five songs, we hopped on our bicycles and came back to the coach.

But before we could ride back, my guy couldn't find the key to the cable lock on our bikes. He looked high and low...through all his pockets twice...finally went back into the stands looking. That's when I found the key in his bike bag. Best place to leave the key...with the lock...LOL. Anyway, caught him as he was going to look under the stands. He was sure relieved. We've all done some funny...silly...things, haven't we?

Today's agenda is to find a park nearby to spend a few more nights. We have to be out of here tomorrow morning. In fact I just read they'll be turning off the electricity at 7am tomorrow.

I'm sad my plan for seeing my sis, and keeping my man entertained during that time, didn't work out. My fault...I should have stayed on top of things. But a few more days in the area will give Di and I a chance to play and chat.
