OK...this probably belongs at the top and perhaps in the next couple weeks I'll move it. I've always loved to travel! As a child we camped as much as the weather and my folk's money would allow. Oh, we didn't go too far, often somewhere on Mt. Hood. We always slept out under the stars and were never bothered by critters.

Then along comes marriage, and a husband who was not raised like me. But Norman was willing to try new adventures. By the time our youngest, Todd, came along, we bought our big ol' used tent for $75 and began our camping experiences. After many years of wonderful experiences with the family, especially at Owyhee Reservoir, things changed for me. One evening I stood under a canopy in the wind and rain and dark preparing dinner as the family sat snugly in the tent playing games. Along with dinner I announced, "We are NOT camping again until I am in an RV".

With our little Pace Arrow we began to travel to more distant places with questionable weather. We joined my family at White River on Mt. Hood, where I knew the temperature could drop below freezing in summer or it could pour down rain at the drop of a hat. We also enjoyed many years beginning our summer at the IHBA boat drags in Red Bluff in temperatures over 100 degrees.

Then we bought the Country Coach, the first big one that "only slept two". Our adventures changed as it was now just Norman and I. We began to explore the beautiful states in the West. We climbed as high as Independence Pass in Colorado at 14K feet and enjoyed the winter storms at sea level on the Oregon Coast.

With retirement we picked up our Beaver...longer...queen bed...washer/dryer...we could live in this thing. Once again many changes in our life. Now we begin to explore warm winter retreats and make many new friends from all over the western states. AND THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE!
